In this next instalment of our member Q&A series we speak with Bryan Davin, Director of new ADCAS member company - CAE Ventilation Services - to find out more on the company and the issues that matter most to them.

  • What are CAE Ventilation Services best known for and which industry sectors does the company operate in?

CAE Ventilation Services (Northern) Ltd are a small tight knit team based on the Wirral, Merseyside with an excellent fabrication skill set between us. We are predominately involved in high quality sheet metal fabrication and on-site installation.

Our installation teams are time served, DBS checked, CSCS accredited and asbestos awareness trained, along with IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, Abrasive Wheels, Working at Height etc. We don’t use subbies.

We support UK based refrigeration companies and north west based HVAC and M&E companies and operate in industrial and commercial sites.

  • How did CAE Ventilation Services learn about ADCAS and what were the factors involved in applying for membership?

We’ve been in the industry for many years and wanted to have an affiliation with an organisation that represents and promotes the ductwork industry

  • What are CAE Ventilation Services looking for from their ADCAS membership?

Guidance on training, communication workshops to stay up to date on legislation and good practices, whilst also raising our profile to potential new customers.

  • What do CAE Ventilation Services see as the main issues/challenges within the ductwork industry?

There is a shortfall in training for ductwork fabrication and installation operatives in the industry. This void is being filled with unskilled incompetent workers.

  • What changes would CAE Ventilation Services like to see in the building services sector over the coming years?

Government funding for SMEs to train young school leavers into the trade as competent tradesman.
